Senior CoHousing Community Common House

The Common House in this senior cohousing community is designed to encourage social interaction and support aging in place. Located close to residents' private homes, it features spaces like a living room, dining area, kitchen, hearth room, office, gym, craft room, and guest room. The design emphasizes light, bright colors and matte finishes for comfort, with warm colors and textures for accessibility. Universal and ADA-compliant elements ensure safety and usability, creating an updated, welcoming environment that feels like home. Residents will have input in design decisions to reflect their needs and tastes. This project was done in a group of two.
